Privacy
policy.

How we handle your information when you get in touch, enquire about membership, or follow us on social media.

Last updated: [DATE TO BE CONFIRMED]

This privacy policy explains how OAK GYM Dundalk (“OAK GYM”, “we”, “us” or “our”) collects and uses the personal information you share with us through this website. We are committed to protecting your privacy and handling your data in line with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Irish Data Protection Act 2018.

Who we are

OAK GYM Dundalk is a gym based at 16–20 Jocelyn Street, Townparks, Dundalk, Co. Louth. For any privacy questions, or to exercise your data rights, contact us at oakgym2015@gmail.com or (042) 600 5912. [Business details to be confirmed with final contact information.]

Information we collect

This is a static website. We do not run user accounts, and we do not automatically collect or store personal data through the site itself. We only receive personal information when you choose to send it to us. That may include:

  • Your name, email address and phone number, when you email us or message us via WhatsApp or social media.
  • Any details you include in a membership or general enquiry — for example your training goals or preferred plan.
  • Information you share publicly when you interact with our social media pages (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube).

How we use your information

We use the information you provide to:

  • Respond to your enquiry and answer your questions.
  • Give you information about memberships, classes and challenges you've asked about.
  • Arrange a visit, trial or first session.

We do not sell your information, and we do not use it for automated decision-making or profiling.

Legal basis

Under GDPR, we rely on your consent and our legitimate interest in responding to your enquiries and running our business to process the information you send us. Where you contact us with a view to joining, we may also process your data to take steps at your request before entering into a contract.

Third parties and links

Our website loads fonts from Google Fonts, which may involve your browser making a request to Google's servers. Our site also links out to third-party platforms — including Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, WhatsApp and Google Maps. When you follow those links, or contact us through them, your information is handled under that platform's own privacy policy, which we do not control. We recommend reviewing their policies.

Cookies

This website does not set its own tracking or advertising cookies. Third-party services referenced above (such as Google Fonts or embedded social platforms you navigate to) may set their own cookies under their respective policies. [If analytics, a booking tool or advertising pixels are added later, this section should be updated and a cookie banner considered.]

How long we keep your information

We keep enquiry information only for as long as needed to respond to you and follow up, and to meet any legal or accounting obligations. When it is no longer needed, we delete it.

Your rights

Under GDPR you have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected or erased, to restrict or object to our use of it, and to data portability. You also have the right to withdraw consent at any time and to lodge a complaint with the Irish Data Protection Commission (dataprotection.ie). To exercise any of these rights, email us at oakgym2015@gmail.com.

Data security

We take reasonable steps to keep the information you send us safe. However, no method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security of information sent to us by email or social media.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with a revised “last updated” date.
